Our approach to estimating is a mixture of art and science. The science is defining the physical process of construction into as many miniature modules as possible, while the art is anticipating how the successful contractor will actually pursue the work and what the cost for each module will be many days into the future. We use as many resources as possible to develop our estimates and to check the quality of our product. We rely on our experience, historical records, on-line databases, manufacturers, suppliers, contractors, industry references, and others. The repetitive refinement process our staff implements on each estimate allows BREE to retain its accuracy. In addition, during this process, we typically identify value engineering and constructability issues, which can save clients money—if recommended changes are implemented.
